I've been very fortunate over the past 20 years to be able to wear many hats in the design community. I started as a sign maker, and haven't stopped growing yet. I've been able to develop into a graphic designer, art director, email designer, front-end developer, a UI/UX designer, and currently a Design Manager, for data experiences at Capital One.
Over the past 10 years, I've been with Capital One, I've been able to help create, influence, strategize, and redefine some major experiences in the credit card customer journey. I’ve been able to reimagine everything from, the package that delivers a customer’s credit card, the statement they receive each month, and the emails that welcomed them to Capital One.
Most recently, I've had those same opportunities to help reinvent data experiences for the data community in and out of Capital One. Where I can help empower users like software engineers to share data easily and securely.
My passion for design is grounded in the belief that my work is helping another person, neighbor, or family member. Whether it's a great travel card for an amazing adventure, a card that will help a person just starting their journey with credit, a new data experience, or helping the local children in my community. Each of them has a story to share, and this story can greatly impact our designs, our motivations, and our business.
